Humphrey Visual Field Test in Vaughan and Scarborough, ON
The visual field test is used to check the range of your side vision. One of its most common applications is to detect early, painless loss of side vision in people with a higher risk of developing glaucoma. Visual field defects from other causes, including retinal vein occlusions (a stroke in the eye), optic neuritis (inflammation of the nerve such as in multiple sclerosis), and tumours can also be monitored in detail.
Our preferred visual field equipment is the ZEISS Humphrey visual field analyzer.
This instrument is often used in completing drivers’ vision tests and occupational vision tests, as well.
